ObituaryVera Lee Blackmon Smith, 86, of Spartanburg, SC died Friday, February 22, 208 at Spartanburg Regional Medical center. Born on April 11, 1920 in Kershaw, SC she was a daughter of the late Lee Roy and Margaret Parnell Blackmon and the widow of B. Frank Smith, Jr.Mrs. Smith was a 1941 graduate of Furman University and a member of Fernwood Baptist Church. She volunteered with Total Ministries and was an avid Gardener and bridge player. Survivors include her son Bart Smith of Sanibel, FL; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.A memorial service was held at 3PM at Fernwood Baptist Church, Spartanburg, SC.
