->Davis, Vera K.Vera K. Davis a lifelong resident of Port Chester died July 3, 2012. She was 94 and was born December 18, 1917 to the late Peter and Anna Ushkevich Karpluk. She was a devoted member of the Rye Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed gardening and being a part of her neighborhood. She was a member of the girls field hockey team at Port Chester High School and were champions for four years. Ms. Davis was a retired secretary for Turner Construction in NYC. She is survived by her nephews Kenneth and Richard Karpluk. She was predeceased by her son Peter Davis and brother William Karpluk. Visitation will be 10am to 12 noon on Friday July 6, 2012 at Craft Memorial home, Inc. Funeral service will follow at noon. Committal service to follow at Ferncliff Cemetery.
