Vera Davis, 84, of Tuscumbia, died Nov. 21, 2010.Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, at Colbert Memorial Chapel, with burial to follow at Piney Grove Church of Christ, Frankfort Road, Tuscumbia. Brother David Conley officiating.At Mrs. Davis' request, there will be no visitation.She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary Tubbs; infant son, James Walter Davis; brother, Lewis Frank Tubbs; and sister, Myrtle J. Davis.Survivors include her son, Hershel Davis (Pat); grandson, James Davis (Ashley); great-granddaughters, Isabella Davis and Brooklyn Stockley; sisters, Bonnie Young, Minnie Fleming; and a special brother-in-law, Buddy; a host of loving nieces and nephews.Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.Mrs. Davis was a member of Hawk Pride Church of Christ.A special thanks to the staff at Cottage of the Shoals and Tennessee Valley Hospice for the care given to our dear loved one.Colbert Memorial Chapel of the Shoals is directing.
