Velma Sessions Williams Velma Sessions Williams, 81, died Sunday, May 1, 2005, at her home. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, George Frederick Williams Jr. A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. EDT Thursday at Culley's MeadowWood Memorial Park. Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Timberlane Road (850-893-4177) is handling arrangements.Born May 26, 1923, in Johnsonville, Ill., she resided in Miami for 57 years until 1997, when she moved to Tallahassee. She attended Centralia High School in Centralia, Ill. She was an aircraft riveter during World War II and went on enjoy a career as a dental assistant and office manager for 25 years. She was a foster mother for infants for Catholic Charities in Miami.She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Miami, before moving to Tallahassee, where she joined St. John's Episcopal Church. She was a former member of the Elks Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary. She is survived by her son, Paul Kenneth Jones (and wife Evelyn) of Meriden, Conn.; granddaughter, Erika Jones of Meriden.; step-daughters, Katrina Williams of Tallahassee, Kathleen Adlerz (and husband Clifford); and two granddaughters, Katrina and Alicia Adlerz of Nashville, Tenn.
