Velma Ruth Hancock CAIRO - Velma Ruth Hancock, 82, a homemaker, died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2003. The service will be at 2 p.m. EST Friday at Long Branch Baptist Church in Cairo, with burial at Greenwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. EST today at Clark Funeral Home (229-377-1414). Survivors include four daughters, Jeri Crawford, Lanay Dixon and Linda Tilley, all of Cairo, and Rebecca Welker of Gulfport, Miss.; a son, Benny Hancock of Cairo; 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
