Services for Mrs. Velma McMackins Smith 88 will be at 1:00 PM today at the Bodkin Funeral Home in Milan with burial in the Howse Baptist Church Cemetery near Atwood. Mrs. Smith a homemaker died Thursday at the Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center in Huntingdon. She was preceded in death by her husband Terry Lester Smith. Surviving are five sons Howard Smith of Atwood Doyle Smith of Camden Steve Smith of Cedar Grove Jackie Smith of St. Louis MO and Paul Smith of Paris; eight daughters Cathleen Ward Bobbie Helen Powers and Julia Lawrence all of Atwood Anita Reynolds of St. Louis MO Janice Esposito of Roselle Park NJ Dianne Brown of Milan and Sharon Smith and Debbie Thompson both of McKenzie; one sister Alice Wheeler of Milan; forty-eight grandchildren; forty-five great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
