Mrs. Vannie Ruth Jordan - SAVANNAH - Mrs. Vannie Ruth Jordan, 83, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at her residence. Mrs. Jordan was a native of Statesboro, GA and attended the public schools of Bulloch County. She was a 1944 graduate of William James High School. She was married to the late Deacon Collis Cleveland Jordan. She was a member of the Com'Wei'Lee Social Club. Mrs. Jordan was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir, served as a Deaconess, and a member of the Junior League. She is preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth Cleveland Jordan, and Gerald Wendell Jordan. She leaves to cherish her precious memories, two daughters, Cynthia (Talmadge) Shelton, and Sandra F. Jordan both of Savannah, GA; 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren; two sisters, Alethia Heard of Savannah, GA and Evangelist Fannie Belcher of Philadelphia, PA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives , and friends.
