Obituary of Vannie-Lou-Fly Johnson


Funeral services for Mrs. Vannie Lou Fly Johnson 86 will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday January 29 2004 from the chapel of Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home with Minister Dennis Walker and Minister Tim Roland officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery. Mrs. Johnson died Monday January 26 2004 at Humboldt General Hospital. She was born in Gibson County daughter of the late Hardy Leigh and Essie Era Powell Fly and was educated in the Medina Schools graduating from Medina High School. Mrs. Johnson was retired from General Motors Corporation and was a member of Humboldt Church of Christ. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband Brady Herman Johnson on August 19 1985. Survivors include a son Howard Johnson and wife Maureen of Bonita Springs FL; two sisters Mrs. Virginia Thompson of Humboldt and Mrs. Rebecca Graves and husband Reau of Medina; a brother Billy Fly and wife Christeene of Humboldt; a grandson James Johnson of Apcha Junction AZ; two great-grandchildren Haley Johnson and Brady Johnson both of Apcha Junction AZ. Pallbearers to serve are Reau Graves Jr. Tim Epperson Lance Epperson Paul Thompson James White and Bruce Thompson. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. today at the funeral home. Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home Medina TN 731-783-3026
