Ms. Tracy Angela Smith - SAVANNAH - Ms. Tracy Angela Smith, 44, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center, Glen Burnie, MD. She was a native of Savannah, GA and attended the Catholic Schools of Chatham County. She was a 1984 graduate of St. Vincent's Academy, and a 1998 graduate of Savannah State University. She was a correction officer for the state of Maryland and the United Cerebral Palsy Foundation. She was a former employee at the Chatham County Youth Detention Center and Effingham County Jail. She was a communicant of St. Benedict the Moor Catholic Church. Survivors are: two sons, Justin Smith and Anthony Mapp both of Savannah, GA; her mother, Bernitha German Vaughn of Savannah, GA; twin sister, Terry (Louis) Smith Heyward of Bedford, MA; one niece, Sarah Heyward of Bedford, MA; dear friend, Lawarren Pratt of Glen Burnie, MD; one uncle, Tyrone (Betty) Smith of Savannah, GA; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 11:00a.m Friday, May 28, 2010 at St. Benedict The Moor Catholic Church 556 East Gordon St. @ East Broad. Interment ~ Catholic Cemetery.
