She was born in Kanab, Utah on November 24, 1965 to Naomi Harris and Jerry Barber. She grew up in Glendale, Utah, and graduated from Valley High School in 1983, having served as senior class president. Totie married Darrel Paul Anderson on July 26, 1986. They were later sealed in the St. George Temple, and became proud parents of five children. Totie was born wanting to be a mother and a nurse. She graduated with her RN degree in 1996, and went to work at Dixie Regional Medical Center. She loved working as a labor and delivery nurse, and had special training in the Neonatal Ward. She was very good at her job, and took special care helping mothers and their babies at that special time in their lives. Totie was best known in the family for remembering everyone's special days, including birthdays & anniversaries. She was a loving, kind, empathetic, and sentimental person who loved her husband, children, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces and nephews. Her only granddaughter, Aliyah, was her pride and joy. She will be greatly missed by all of us. Survivors include her husband Darrel; children Ashley, Caitlyne, Marissa, Brendan and Charlotte; granddaughter Aliyah; and sister Jennifer Hall. She was preceded in death by her mother Naomi Hall, father Jerry Barber, step-father Garth Hall, grandparents La Donna & Hazen Harris and Dessie & Harold Barber, nephew James Troy, and cousin Brian Harris. Graveside services will be held Friday, September 19, 2014 at 1:00 PM in the Glendale Utah Cemetery. A viewing will be held Friday at 12:00 Noon in the Glendale Utah LDS Church. Arrangements were made with Mosdell Mortuary.
