Timothy Mark Smith BUFFALO, SC-- Mr. Timothy Mark Smith, age 48, of 106 Forest Meadow Avenue, Buffalo, SC, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mr. Smith was born in Union, SC, on April 1, 1964, a son of Jean Brown Smith-Stewart of Buffalo and the late Bobby G. Smith. He was a graduate of Union High School and had attended Spartanburg Technical College. Mr. Smith retired from Union County School Systems where he worked in the Resource Center. He was an avid outdoorsman, participating in several archery tournaments and enjoyed riding motorcycles. Surviving, in addition to his mother, are a daughter, Kirsten Smith of Union; a step-father, Rufus Stewart of Buffalo; a sister, Deborah Southard of Greenwood; a niece, Cayden Jackson of Spartanburg and a nephew, Gene Smith of Greenwood. Mr. Smith was predeceased by a sister, Susan Elizabeth Smith and maternal grandparents, Ernest and Ava O'Shields. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Putman Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Rick Henderson and Rev. R.B. Ashby. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Ray Vinson, Johnny Taylor, James Rose, A.J. Rose, Tim Justice and Freddie Moore. Memorials may be made to Putman Baptist Church, 3692 Buffalo West Springs Hwy, Buffalo, SC 29321.
