Obituary of Timothy-John Smith


Timothy John Smith SMITH BRANCH ROAD, NB - Timothy John Smith of Smith Branch Road, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2003 at The Moncton Hospital. He was born August 15, 1920 in Gowland Mountain and was the son of the late William and Tina (Harrison) Smith. He was a retired farmer. A veteran of WWII, having served with The NB Rangers and was wounded in Sicily. He is survived by five sisters, Edna Stewart of Smith Branch Road, Ella Smith of Petitcodiac, Peechy Marr (Milton) of Cornhill, Dorothy Black of River Glade, Bertha Lewis (Clayton) of The Glades; a sister-in-law, Marion Smith of Petitcodiac; four brothers, Everett (Joyce) of Hillsborough, Carle of Moncton; Oran of River Glade and Lewis (Myrla) of Salisbury; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters-in-law, Margaret, Helen and Ernestine; three brothers, Billee, Lloyd and Seward; also by three brothers-inlaw, Charles Stewart, Ross Smith and Chester Black. The remains are at Armstrong's Funeral Home, 33 Russell Street, Petitcodiac with visiting hours on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9. The funeral service will be on Thursday, January 9, 2003 from the funeral home at 2:00pm with Rev. R. Matheson officiating. The interment will take place at The Glades Cemetery at a later date. www.armstrongfh.com
