Thomas "Jerry" Shaver, 63, of 800 Spring Street, Apt. 9-F, died Thursday, October 11, 2007, at his home. Born in Laurens County, he was a son of the late David Melvin and Effie Crocker Shaver and a member of Emmanuel Praise and Worship in Fountain Inn. Surviving are four sisters, Gladys E. Clardy and Geneva Hurley both of Fountain Inn, S.C., Kathleen Ivey and husband James of Gray Court, S.C., and Linda Jean Shaver of the home; sister-in-law, Brenda Shaver of Pauline, S.C. He was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph Tobias Shaver and James Ernest Shaver; and two sisters, Dorothy Nelson and Daisy Bagwell. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, October 15, 2007, at Kennedy Mortuary Chapel, conducted by Rev. Eugene McElhannon with burial in Little River Dominick Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Highway 56, Kinards. The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Kennedy Mortuary.
