HUMPHREY, THOMAS P., 80, of Louisville, died Monday, November 22, 2004, at Hospice & Palliative Care of Louisville's inpatient unit at Norton Audubon Hospital. He was a native of East Orange, NJ, a retired operations management representative for the old Eastern Airlines and a Navy veteran of World War II, having received the Purple Heart. He was a member of the Joint Executive Committee of Veterans Organizations, the Military Order of the Purple Heart, where he was a judge advocate for the Department of Kentucky, American Legion Highland Post #201 and St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Martha D. (Dluhos) Humphrey; a son, Charles Thomas Humphrey; a daughter, Phyllis Anne Hatfield and her husband, Mike; a sister, Bernice Marquis; and a granddaughter, Rachel Hatfield. His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 27, 2004, at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church, 2141 Lancashire Ave., with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, November 26, 2004, at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. Memorial gifts may be made the Military Order of the Purple Heart, 545 S. 3rd St., Louisville, KY 40202- 1838.
