KENT Thomas C., age 82, died Wednesday, July 31, 2013. Devoted husband of Charlotte M. (nee Rice) Kent of Wyckoff, NJ and beloved father of Ginny Dorris of Brooklyn, NY, Justine Kent of Skillman, NJ and Lawrence Kent of Seattle, WA. Loving grandfather of Greg, Eric, Peter, Nolan, Chase, George, Moses and Frances. Tom was born in New York, NY and had been a longtime resident of Ho-Ho-Kus. He attended Fordham University, Fordham Law School and New York University School of Law. Tom was a parishioner of St. Luke's R.C. Church, Ho-Ho-Kus and a member of the New York Bar Association. He was a US Army veteran having served during the Korean War. Tom was a Senior Tax Attorney with Thalen, Reid and Priest, New York, NY before his retirement in 1995. He was a lifelong fan of the NY Giants.Tom's family welcomes you to pay your last respects on Sunday, Aug, 4th at Vander Platt Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com) at 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ from 2-5 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the St Luke's RC Church, 340 Franklin Tpke., Ho-Ho-Kus at 11 AM on Monday, Aug. 9th The interment will follow in St. Luke's Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital Foundation, 224 Hamburg Tpke., Wayne, NJ 07470.
