<!-- FH = . -->Thomas James McKenzieThomas J. McKenzie, 82, of Marionville, MO, passed into heaven on Friday, May 25, 2012. He was the loving husband of Harriet (Beck) McKenzie having just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.Tom was born May 7, 1930, in Hastings, Nebraska. He was the son of the late Rev. Martin O. McKenzie and Ella (Graves) McKenzie. He graduated from Kalona High School in 1948 and attended the University of Iowa where he earned his undergraduate in Liberal Arts in 1953, and his Law degree in 1958.Tom retired from Swigart Insurance in Huntingdon, PA where he was Vice President, in 1983. He had previously been employed at Motor Freight Express, in York PA, as Lead Corporate Attorney.Tom was a veteran of the US Air Force where he served from 1951 to 1954 as a weapons specialist on the B-29. Tom was an active volunteer at the LUC Boys Ranch. He served as a volunteer chaplain at the Ozarks United Methodist Manor in Marionville, MO. Tom was a member of First United Methodist Church in Marionville, MO. In addition to his wife, Tom is survived by son Bruce McKenzie and Ruta of Christchurch, New Zealand, son Craig McKenzie and wife Donna of Downers Grove, IL, son Scott McKenzie and wife Joni of York, PA, and son Mark McKenzie and wife Kris of Moneta, VA. He was exceedingly proud of his 7 grandchildren: Timothy, Rachel, Lisa, Brian, Jason, Nick, and Meghan. He was preceded in death by his sister, Pauline Jennings and his brother Robert McKenzie.Tom's memorial service was held at the Ozarks United Methodist Manor on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 10:00 am.Memorial contributions may be made to LUC Boys Ranch, 296 Boys Ranch Road, Lampe, MO 65681.
