GRAY, Thomas James "Jim" In loving memory of Thomas James "Jim" Gray, 87 years, who passed away Tuesday evening, March 9th, 2004 at the Elizabeth Centre. He was employed with the Canadian Nation Railway from Sept 1948 till Feb 1977. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Capreol Branch 179 (serving in Europe during World War II), a member of the CN Pensioners Association, a past member of the Capreol Volunteer Fire Department and the Capreol Volunteer Police Department. Much of his retirement was spent enjoying his camp on Manitoulin Island. In his younger days he was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was much sought after by hunting parties for his great talent of moose calling. He was an avid bowler with the men's league in Capreol and he could often be found at the Capreol Arena where security officer was one of his many jobs. Jim was always community minded, respected by others and remembered for his wonderful sense of humour. He was always proud and interested in his grandchildren's lifes, especially their sports careers. The family wish to thank the staff of the Elizabeth Centre of the care and kindness. Beloved husband of Marie "Mary" (Lancia) Gray predeceased August 21, 2001. Loving father of Larry and Gary (wife Shirley) both of Capreol and Brenda of Beamsville. Cherished grandfather of Brendon and Devin. Funeral Prayers in the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, Hanmer/Capreol Chapel, 4605 Michelle Dr., Hanmer, Friday, March 12th, 2004 at 11 am. Cremation in the Park Lawn Crematorium. A memorial service will be held 7:30 pm Thursday under the auspices of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 179, Capreol.
