Babcock Wilcox-Albion Kaolin Mine Retiree HEPHZIBAH, Ga. - Mr. Thomas J. Williams, 79, of Railroad Avenue, entered into rest on Sunday, October 8, 2006 at Medical College of Georgia. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2006 2:00 p.m. at Thankful Baptist Church, Blythe, Ga. with Rev. George Williams and Rev. Martris Mims officiating. Burial will be at Doyle Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Blythe. Mr. Williams, a native of Richmond County, retired from Babcock Wilcox-Albion Kaolin Mine after 44 years of loyal service. "T.J." sang bass along with his younger brother, Leroy, in the Gospel Moon Quartet. For many years, "T.J." owned and operated Williams Sanitation of Hephzibah. Survivors are one daughter, Gwendolyn (Stanley) Williams, Hephzibah; six sons, Tommie L. Williams, Yardville, N.J., Donald (Audrey) Williams, Jack Williams, Bruce (Juliette) Williams, Hephzibah, Ray (Theresa) Williams, James E. Williams, Augusta; three sisters, Dorothy W. Yerby, Helen Griffin, Augusta, Ruby W. Tennial, Memphis, Tenn; five brothers, Percy (Flora) Williams, Willie (Essie) Williams, Franklin (Charron) Williams, Augusta, Lonnie J. Williams, East Orange, N.J., Bobby Williams, Memphis; sisters-in-law, Angie Bryant, Maybelle Williams, Hephzibah, Clancey (John) Berry, Sarah (Robert Lee) Burton, Cleveland, Ohio; brother-in-law, Henry Simmons, Jacksonville, Fla.; 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
