->Msgr. Thomas F. Finnegan, of Falmouth formerly Brighton and Milton, Feb. 16, age 91. Msgr. Finnegan was the son of the late Thomas J. Finnegan and Agnes C. (Barry ) Finnegan. He was educated in his home parish of St. Columbkille. He graduated from Boston College in 1941 and attended Boston College Law School before entering the United States Army during World War II. During his military service, he fought in the Battle of the Ardennes. Upon discharge from the army, he entered Saint John's Seminary in Brighton and was ordained in 1951. After serving at St. Mary in Chelmsford and Saint Joseph in Boston he was assigned to the Chancery Office where he was the Assistant Chancellor (1955-1961), Vice Chancellor (1961-1968) and Chancellor (1968 - 1973) serving under both Richard Cardinal Cushing and Humberto Cardinal Medeiros. He then served as pastor of Saint Elizabeth, Milton from 1973 - 1994 retiring to his beloved Cape Cod where he assisted at Saint Elizabeth Seton, North Falmouth from 1994 - 2000. Monsignor's Funeral Mass was held Monday, Feb, 21, in St. Elizabeth's Church, Milton at 11 o'clock. He will lie in state at the church, Sunday, Feb. 20, from 2 - 5 p.m. Interment will be Tuesday Feb. 22, at 11:15 a.m. in Mass. V.A. National Cemetery, Bourne.
