Evers, Thomas F. III SCHENECTADY Thomas F. Evers III, 41, died August 14, 2008 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Fairfax, Va., he moved to the Capital District as a child. The son of Ruth Mahar Evers and the late Thomas F. Evers Jr. of Glenville, Tom was a graduate of Scotia-Glenville High School's class of '84. Tom received his first Holy Communion at St. Joseph's Church in Scotia and with his family, attended for many years. He was active in sports and followed the NY Yankees and Giant teams. Proud of his Irish heritage, he was also a Notre Dame Football follower from way back. He married the former Debora A. Puleski on August 26, 1995 in Rotterdam, later moving to Schenectady. He loved spending time with his wife and their two children. He was employed the past nine years for the city of Schenectady. Survivors include his wife Debora; son, Thomas F. Evers IV and daughter, Jenna Evers of Schenectady; his mother, Ruth Evers; brothers, Todd Evers of Glenville, Justin of Scotia and Zachary of Glenville; sisters, Stacie Evers and companion John Mancini of Scotia, Rachel Evers-Wiley (Joe) of Rotterdam and Amy Cremo (Pat) of Scotia. Beloved grandson of Arline and John Mahar of Wynanskill, N.Y.; son-in-law of Inga Puleski of Schenectady; brother-in-law of Joanne Puleski of Scotia and Robert Puleski of Charlton. He leaves behind 16 nephews. The family would like to express their gratitude to Community Hospice of Schenectady, the AMC staff, especially Drs. David R. Shaffer and Brian Valerian and also to Steve Raucci and the Schenectady City School District. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, 226 First St., Scotia.
