Tom was born on October 20, 1966 in Rochester, NY, the son of Suzanne S. Donahue and predeceased by his father, Richard E. Donahue. Tom graduated from McQuaid Jesuit High School in 1985, then moved to Dayton, OH where he graduated from the University of Dayton in 1989 with a B.A. in English and Philosophy.Tom's greatest passion was music and he was a talented and accomplished bass guitar player, playing in bands in high school, college and dabbling thereafter throughout adulthood whenever he got the chance. He was owner of a wedding photography business in the Rochester area at the time of his death, another artistic outlet that he pursued, among many. He was a gifted writer and poet, and an avid reader of all types of books, especially historical fiction. Tom is survived by his mother, Suzanne S. Donahue of Rochester; identical twin brother, Timothy M. Donahue, Sr. and wife Stacey of Austin, TX; sister, Tina Donahue Hatch and husband Greg of Richmond, VA; brother, Terrence M. Donahue and wife Sheila of Charlotte, NC. He leaves behind 5 adoring nephews and one niece: TJ, Colin and Shane Donahue of Austin, TX; Blair, Conan and Brody Darrah of Richmond, VA; as well as many dear friends and family members.Friends may call Thursday, January 23 from 5-7 PM at the funeral chapel (2305 Monroe Ave.). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 24 at 11 AM at St. Louis Catholic Church, 64 South Main Street, Pittsford, NY.
