THOMAS CATHERWOOD STEIDLEY, III, 52 WINTER HAVEN - Thomas C. Steidley, III, 52, of Winter Haven, died on October 23, 2010. Tom was born on November 7, 1957 in Winter Park, FL. He moved to Maitland, FL with his family in 1962. He was kind and loving to people and animals. Tom played baseball and football in his youth and for Maitland Junior High. He graduated Winter Park High School in 1976. He attended Valencia Community College for 2 years. Tom was recruited by the Kmart Corporation for their managerial program and continued with them for 20 years. Tom then entered the Pharmaceutical Industry working with Assisted Living Facilities all over Florida. In recent years he worked for Mike Moore Cable and enjoyed breeding AKC Yorkshire Terriers and Standard Poodles. Tom's 4 children were always his greatest joy, pride and comfort. Tom is survived by his parents, Thomas and Nina Steidley of Maitland; son, Thomas C. Steidley IV of Albuquerque, William, Daniel, Elizabeth Paige and Haley Lynn Steidley, Kissimmee; 2 sisters Sharon Carter, Ashburn VA, Terri Ross of Leesburg, FL; 3 nephews; numerous great nephews and nieces and longtime companion and special friend, Rebecca Lawson, Winter Haven. Memorial Service will be held at St. John Lutheran Church 1600 S. Orlando Ave, Winter Park on Friday October 29th at 1:00 p.m.
