Thomas A. Fisher, 77, of Oak Ridge, N.J., passed away on Monday, June 17, 2013. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church, 5635 Berkshire Valley Road, Oak Ridge, N.J. 07438. Mr. Fisher was born and raised in Paterson, N.J., to Gertrude M. (nee Turner) and the late Alexander James Fisher. He graduated from Pope Pius XII High School in Passaic, N.J., and later proudly served in the US Navy from 1955 to 1957. Mr. Fisher was employed at New Jersey Bell Telephone Company as chief switchman, where he worked from August 1953 until his retirement in February 1985. He has been a resident of Oak Ridge for 40 years and was also a parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church in Oak Ridge. Mr. Fisher is survived by his mother, Gertrude M. Fisher; his brother, Robert Fisher, and his wife, Sandra; his nieces, Michelle C. Grubb and her husband, Christopher, and Kathleen M. Fisher; his nephews, Robert Fisher, Jr. and his wife, Jennifer; Michael A. Fisher and his wife, Leslie, and Mark T. Fisher and his wife, Evaleena. He also leaves behind his grandnieces and grandnephews, Madison and Tyler Grubb, Samantha and Nicholas Simon, and Wilson, Abigail, Grace, Drew, Emily, and Elizabeth Fisher.
