BERLIN - Therese P. Dupont, 82, a longtime resident of Western Avenue, passed away in the early afternoon hours of June 20, 2012, at St. Vincent de Paul Nursing Home. For the past six years, she resided at the nursing home. Therese was born in Berlin on Jan. 31, 1930, a daughter of the late Albert and Mathilda (Lemieux) Arsenault. She attended Berlin schools. On Nov. 21, 1959, she married Rosaire Dupont, and together they raised two sons and a daughter. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Berlin, now known as St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. She was employed as a housekeeper at St. Louis Hospital in Berlin. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her greatest love was her family and spending time with them. She was a very loving, caring and devoted, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her hobbies included bingo, riding around and baking cookies with her friends at St. Vincent de Paul. Ice cream was her favorite treat. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Rosaire, and a brother, Albert Arsenault. She is survived by two sons, Armand Dupont and his wife, Shirley, and Andre Dupont and his wife, Nancy, and a daughter, Bernadette Guay, and her husband, Ronald, all of Berlin; three brothers: Raymond Arsenault of Windsor Locks, Conn., Laurent Arsenault of Ohio and George Arsenault of Berlin; a sister, Pauline Gauthier of Arizona. She is also leaves six grandchildren: Amanda, Andrea, Matthew and Ian Dupont, Pat Petrie and Tarena Marquis; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. . services:A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Monday, June 25, at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish in Berlin. The Rev. Mark Dollard will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Kieran Cemetery in Berlin. Calling hours are from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 24, and from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Monday, June 25 (prior to the mass) at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High St., Berlin.
