Obituary of Therese Carriere


CARRIERE (Fournier), Therese Passed away on Friday, September 26, 2003 at the age of 73, peacefully and with dignity after a courageous battle with cancer. Daughter of the late Lorenzo Carriere and the late Irene Lavigne. Devoted and loving mother of Michele Fournier (Albert Gabbay). Cherished grandmother of Nicolas and Guillaume. Loving sister of Oliva (Arthur Leduc) and of the late Leo Carriere. She leaves behind her cherished, long time companion Georges Lachance. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Claudette Touchette, Jeanne Leclerc and Gladys Martinez for their support, attentive care and compassion. Many thanks to Dr. Meng and Dr. Verma for their constant support, to the staff of the Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre and to the 5th floor of the Ottawa Hospital (General Campus). Visitation will be held at the Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home (241-3680), 180 Montreal Road, on Thursday, October 2, 2003 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 10 p.m. and on Friday, October 3rd from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 10:30 a.m. at the Notre Dame Cathedral (corner of Sussex Dr. & St. Patrick St.). For those wishing, donations may be made to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre or to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. Interment at Notre Dame Cemetery following the service.
