->FAIRFIELD -- Theresa Charrier Thibodeau Davis, 87, a 63-year resident of Fairfield, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2008, at Oak Grove Living & Rehabilitation Center in Waterville.Theresa was born in Skowhegan on Nov. 12, 1920, the daughter of Gilbert and Regina (Vallerand) Charrier. She attended Skowhegan schools and graduated from Bloomfield Academy.Theresa was a homemaker for most of her early married life and a longtime employee of C.F. Hathaway. She attended Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for her 63 years in Fairfield. She was very active in the Daughters of Isabella, acting as Regent, and a state representative at many of their conventions. She was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne. She was also an active member of the food pantry.She belonged to the Messalonskee Fish and Game Association and The Brassua Lake Association. She enjoyed fishing at the camp in Brassua.She enjoyed being with her family, including her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an excellent cook and even her great-grandchildren got to taste her molasses cookies. At Christmas every child and most of the grandchildren received one of the 20 or so tourtiere pies that she would make along with a box of homemade candies. Tea cups and saucers were a hobby that was pursued for many years resulting in a collection of 300 as counted by a great-grandchild recently.Theresa was predeceased by her parents; her first husband of 26 years, Omer A. Thibodeau; second husband of 21 years, James A. Davis Sr.; a daughter, Rachel "Penny" VanAlstyne; and seven brothers, Alfred and Leo Paul Tripanier, Arthur, Leon, Oliver, Ernest, and Donald Charrier.She is survived by two daughters, Jean Boynton and her husband, Martin, of Skowhegan and Carol Pratt of Fairfield; a son, Omer Thibodeau and his wife, Carol, of South China; son-in-law, Robert VanAlstyne of Rochester, N.Y.; two stepsons, James Davis Jr. and his wife, Georgine, of Winslow, and Ronald Davis and his wife, Linda, of El Paso, Texas; two stepdaughters, Cheryl Walker and her husband, Jay, of Fairfield, and Debra Davis of Florida; 13 grandchildren, eight stepgrandchildren; many great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.Visiting hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, and from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, at Lawry Brothers Funeral Home, 107 Main St., Fairfield. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 3, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, High Street, Fairfield. Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery in Waterville.The family would like to thank the staff at Oak Grove Living & Rehabilitation Center for their excellent care, their help and support to us when we needed it, and their very caring ways.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Theresa's name to the Susan G.
