Obituary of Theresa Carter

Theresa Carter died on Jan. 25 at home in Boonton following a short illness. She was 77. Born in Hoboken, she lived in Linden before coming to Boonton. Carter was a senior clerk for Newark City Hall before retiring in 1990. She was a member of the First Reformed Church in Boonton and a member of their woman's guild. Carter is survived by her son, Melvin Carter, of Willingboro; two daughters, Theresa Kayhart, of Boonton and Valerie Green, of Willingboro; three grandchildren and one great-grandson. Mass was offered at the First Reformed Church and interment followed at Greenwood Cemetery in Boonton. Arrangements were by the Mackey Funeral Home in Boonton.
