->SKOWHEGAN -- Theresa B. Richard, 85, passed away Monday, Nov. 27, 2006, at Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home in Waterville.She was born July 31, 1921, in Skowhegan, the daughter of Honore and Clara (Plourde) Bouchard. She graduated from Skowhegan High School, a member of the class of 1939. She married Aurel J. Richard on March 28, 1940, in Skowhegan. He passed away in 1996.Theresa worked as a bookkeeper for Maine Spinning Company, then for Miles Carpenter Insurance Company and then for Somerset Oil Company, all in Skowhegan. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, the Somerset Samplers of Skowhegan, Pine Tree Quilting Guild of Maine, and the Abnaki Snowmobiling Club in Madison. She enjoyed snowmobiling, quilting, sewing, cooking and classical music. Theresa loved her grandchildren very much.She is survived by four children, Marilyn Harmon and her husband, Richard, of Waterville, Charlene Adams of Skowhegan, Bruce Richard and his wife, Yvonne, of Norridgewock, and Jim Richard of Skowhegan; 12 grandchildren, Mark, Andrew, Anthony and James LeClair, Daniel and Robert Adams, Robert, William and Christopher Richard, Jessica Dixon, Jason and Todd Richard; 14 great grandchildren; two sisters, Blanche Cyr of Waterville and Viola Bouchard of Winslow; and many nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by a sister, Marie Laurie Bouchard; a brother, Louis Bouchard; and three grandchildren, Barbara Jean LeClair, Joseph Adams and Bruce Richard Jr.Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 1, at Smart and Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2, at Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church on Water Street in Skowhegan. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Skowhegan. Donations may be made in Theresa's memory to the charity of your choice.The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Mount St. Joseph for the loving care that they provided to Theresa Richard.
