OKEECHOBEE - Theodore R. Johnson, age 81, of Okeechobee passed away April 3, 2011, at Okeechobee Health Care Facility. He was born Oct. 9, 1929, in Moore Haven to Harold T. and Louise Johnson. Mr. Johnson retired from Florida Power and Light. He was a member of the Canal Point Baptist Church and a life member of the Pahokee Elk's Club. He came to Okeechobee from Pahokee in 1996. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by Theodore "Teddy" Johnson, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Janette Johnson; daughter, Terriann Johnson; grandson, Thomas Robert Johnson; granddaughter, Katelin Tyner (Vince) all of Okeechobee; and two great-grandchildren, Raeanne Tyner and William Johnson. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at the Canal Point Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Port Mayaca.
