Mount Sinai HospitalLAKELAND -- Mrs. Thelma Spivey-King of Lakeland died of a heart attack Saturday (Feb. 7, 2004) at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. She was 82.Born in Macon, Ga., she came to Lakeland from Miami one year ago. She was an environmental engineer at Mount Sinai Hospital in Miami. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church of Miami.Mrs. Spivey-King was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie James King. She is survived by her sons, L.M. Spivey, Aljae Spivey, Augusta Spivey, all of Miami, James Spivey, Carl Spivey, both of New York; daughters, Alma Riley, Joann Simmons, both of New York, Jessie Mae Robinson, Lakeland; sister, Beatrice, Goulds. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at H.W. Oldham Funeral Home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at God's House Ministry Full Gospel of Northside Baptist Church. Burial will be in Florida National Cemetery.
