-->Thelma Pauline Martin INMAN, SC-- Mrs. Thelma Pauline Padgett Martin, 76, of 2750 Rainbow Lake Road, Inman, passed away Friday, December 26, 2008 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Martin was born in Cooley Springs, SC on February 3, 1932, the daughter of the late Dewey George and Viola (Durham) Padgett. She was the widow of Sydney Cecil Martin. She is survived by two daughters, Vickey Jones and husband, Kenny of Inman, and Teresa Dempsey of Inman; one brother, Defoy Padgett and wife, Betty of Inman; one sister, Zenith Schrimsher and husband, Gene of Boiling Springs, three grandchildren, Christopher D. Jones, T.J. Dempsey, Ashley DeYoung; and one great granddaughter. She retired from Millikin and was a member of Fingerville First Baptist Church where she was a member of the Daughters of the Mary Sunday School Class who will serve as Honorary Escort. A Memorial Service will be held today, Sunday, December 28, 2008 at Fingerville First Baptist Church, with Rev. Andy Case officiating. The family will receive friends immediately after the service at 3:00 PM the church. The family is at their respective homes.
