A celebration of the life of Thelma M. Harris, who passed away September 28, 2007, at the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House, Palm Coast, will be 11 a.m. Thursday, October 4, at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 548 N. Nova Rd., Ormond Beach. The family will be receiving friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 3, at the funeral home. The interment will be at Volusia Memorial Park, 550 N. Nova Rd., Ormond Beach, immediately following the service. Mrs. Harris was born in Waterloo, Ill., on April 25, 1922, and moved to Painters Hill, Fla., with her husband in 1978. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Bunnell. She enjoyed to fish, grow plants and flowers and had a love for life and Jesus. Mrs. Harris is survived by her loving son, Bob; brother, Bill DeBra; three sisters, Dennie Bourland, Mary Radisie and Pat Friday; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
