Thelma Jones King HIGH POINT, NC-- Ms. Thelma Jones King, 81, of High Point, NC, died Saturday, June 20, 2009, at her residence. Born May 3, 1928, in Cherokee, SC, she was the daughter of the late Edward Earl and Martha Henrietta Knight Jones. She had lived most of her life in the Spartanburg, SC area before moving to High Point along with her daughter and son-in-law in 2005. She was of the Baptist faith and had worked as a secretary in the textile industry. She is survived by two daughters, Linda King Thornton and husband, Bill of High Point, and Janice Elizabeth Haring of St. George, UT; two grandsons, Marc Haring and wife, Gabrielle, and Brent Haring and wife, Mary; four great-grandchildren, Vonnegut and Imogen Haring, and Bree and Riley Jensen; and a sister, Betty Lou Bolin of Blacksburg, SC.
