Terry-Lea Henry, born in 1952, spouse of Donald-Henry Jr, daughter of Terry-E and Iva, mother of Alex, Megan, Justin, Eric and Justin', died on August 11, 2012. Please consult the obituary here:
->Henry, Terry Lea (Butler)59, of Ithaca, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 11, 2012, at home surrounded by family and friends. Born November 1, 1952, Terry was raised in Ithaca, NY. Graduated from Ithaca High School in 1970. Enjoyed working for the City of Ithaca for over ten years. Terry loved spending time with family and friends. Terry had a fifty-year friendship with six classmates, dubbed the "Magnificent 7." She cherished the group, and it will live on forever. Terry's leisure time included crocheting, and creating video memorabilia for events. She also loved watching her daughter, Megan, and grandchildren dance on stage with Ithaca Academy of Dance, sons Eric and Alex with MMA, son Justin's talent with building airplane models, and repairing anything and everything. Terry was an avid member of Car Pride, and enjoyed cruising around in her 1954 Plymouth Belvedere. Terry fought a seven-year battle with cancer. She lived life to the fullest, and filled many hearts along the way. She will always be remembered for her sense of humor, style, and strength. Terry is predeceased by her father, Terry E. Butler; stepfather, Kenneth Little; father-in-law, Donald Henry Sr.; brother, Frank "Butch" Butler; and grandson, Anthony Severtson. Terry is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Donald Henry Jr. of Ithaca; mother, Iva Little of Cortland; mother-in-law, Genevieve Henry, of Bradenton, FL; children, Eric Henry, Justin (Daniela) Henry, Megan Henry, Alex Henry, all of Ithaca. Also Chaz (Melissa), Crystal, Sarah, Epiphany, and Christina, whom she also raised as her own; 16 grandchildren, numerous brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, along with her Bichon and Shih Tzu companions, Jake and Princess. She will be missed dearly by many! Calling hours will be held Monday, August 20, 2012, from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. at Bangs Funeral Home at 209 West Green St., Ithaca. Services are open to the public, and will be held Tuesday, August 21, 2012, at 4 p.m. at Bangs Funeral Home with reception to follow at the Eagles Club at 161 Cecil Malone Dr., Ithaca. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospicare.
