Terry Gene Davis, 62, husband of Faye Kelly Davis, of 43 Spring St., went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 2, 2005. Born in Piedmont, he was a son of Rhoda Galloway Davis of Piedmont and the late Paul Edward Davis. He was a veteran of the U.S. National Guard, was formerly employed by J.P. Stevens, Estes Plant, for 28 years with 25 years perfect attendance, served on the West Pelzer Town Council, and was a member of Carolina Heights Church of God of Prophecy in Greenville. He was a faithful husband and a devoted father. In addition to his wife of the home and his mother of Piedmont, he is survived by son, Andy Davis of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, April and Wendel Trotter of Pelzer; brothers, Edward Lee Davis and Stanley Wayne Davis; and a sister, Glenda Lanette Cooper, all of Piedmont. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Carolina Heights Church of God of Prophecy, with Pastor Bruce Sullivan and Rev. Mitchell Looper officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Lawn Cemetery. The family is at the home, and will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.
