HENDERSON, Tammy Jean Tammy Jean Henderson died suddenly near Shoal Lake, Saskatchewan on Monday, November 24th, 2003 at the age of 40 years. A Memorial Funeral service will be held from the Golden Senior's Centre, Golden, B.C. on Saturday afternoon, November 29th at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Richard Fairchild officiating. Laird Pittman will present the eulogy. Terri Pittman will be the soloist, accompanied by pianist Sharon Weir. A second Memorial Service will be held in Edmonton from the High Park Community Hall, 11032 -154th Street on Saturday, December 6th at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Boys & Girls Club of Edmonton, 9425 - 109A Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta, T5H 1G1, or e-mail at jdidow@boysandgirls.ab.ca, in memory of Tammy. Tammy was born in Golden, B.C. on April 29, 1963 and received her formal education in Golden. She worked as an x-ray/CT technician for the past 20 years. Tammy lived and worked in Edmonton for 18 years prior to her recent move in May of this year to The Pas, Manitoba. From a small child, Tammy was a very determined individual. At the age of 3 1/2 Tammy participated in and completed Golden's first walkathon from Parson to Golden, a distance of 22 miles. Tammy enjoyed all forms of sports and over the years participated in a variety of activities including figure skating, horseback riding, skiing, volleyball, and curling, where she won the Edmonton City Championship. Tammy was known to live life on the edge and this was evident in her favourite sport, sky diving. Over the years she completed 234 jumps and was named Alberta's Freefall Champion. Tammy had a great love for children and was a favourite "auntie" to many. She was always willing to assist those less fortunate than herself. Tammy is survived by her parents Hub and Baeda-Jean Henderson of Golden, two brothers: Murray (Cecile) Henderson of Calgary and Darcy Henderson of Edmonton; two nephews: Rowan and Von of Calgary; maternal grandmother Doris Jacobson of Golden; boyfriend Brent Renney of Edmonton; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins as well as a host of good friends.
