Obituary of Timothy-Dewayne Carter

Timothy Dewayne Carter, 49, passed away December 27, 2009, at his residence. Born and raised in Giles, VA, he was the son of Ronald and Justine Carter. Tim was a kind and gentle soul who loved and accepted the Lord in his life. He had a wonderful sense of humor and "would take his shirt off his back" to help those around him. Tim was a fan of sports, and played softball, football and horseshoes. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, the outdoors, fixing things, music and a cold beer with a smoke. Tim traveled a hard road in his personal life, but always knew his sister, Tammy, was there to help get him through. Survivors include his parents; siblings, Ronald Carter Jr. and twin sister, Tammy Carter; two stepsisters, Sheila Brown and Tracey Hall; nephews, Kevin, Brian, Adam, Chris, Rickey; nieces, Melissa and Amber; as well as aunts and uncles and numerous friends. Tim would like to thank all who made his life a joy to live with. Relatives and friends are invited to call today, Thursday, December 31, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Light's Funeral Home, 1428 State St., Schenectady.
