Thelma Louise Jones, 86, of 125 Ellison Circle, died Monday, Dec. 5, 2005, at Hospice House of Anderson. Born in Cateechee, she was a daughter of the late Rev. R. Fant and Lula Wood Jones. She was a graduate of Easley High School and worked as a sales representative for Avon Cosmetics. She was a member of Park Street Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher and church pianist for about 50 years, was the current teacher of the Dorcas Sunday School Class, and had perfect attendance to Sunday School for over 36 years. Surviving are a good friend, Sammie Lee Stephens; a brother, Leecle R. Jones; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers, Clarence, Roscoe, and Delvar Jones; and three sisters, Clarette Smith, Vera Jones, and Ruth Jones. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Park Street Baptist Church, with Rev. Dr. Alton Nix and Rev. Charles Holliday officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Airy Baptist Church Cemetery. The body is at Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown, and will be placed in the church at 12:15 p.m. Thursday, where the family will receive friends prior to the service, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. The family is at their respective homes.
