ObituaryTerry R. Smith, 62 of Fort Myers passed away on Monday May 3, 2010. He was born May 16, 1947 in Toledo, Ohio son of Harold and June Smith. Terry started his career as a painter with local 7 in Toledo, Ohio. He then worked 25 years for American Can Company. After moving to Fort Myers in 2001 he began his own business as a painter which he enjoyed until the time of his illness. Terry took pride in the work he did for his customers and was thankful for the relationships he had with them. He was preceded in death by his mother June and his brother Kenny. Terry is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Pam; sons Kris and Jeremy Latz; grandchildren Ashton, Izayah and Maya; his father Harold (and companion Lynne); his sister Barbara (Tom) Robinson; nephews Mark and Brian Robinson; and father-in-law Stanley Thorpe (Helen) and mother-in-law Noralee (Donald) County. He will be missed for the strength he provided to his family and all of the many ways he made us laugh. A memorial service will be celebrated at 6pm Thursday May 6th at the Southside Christian Church, 7800 .College Parkway, Fort Myers.Terry's family would like to thank all the staff at Hope Hospice for their compassionate care.
