CARTER--Teresa Houston, of Richmond, Virginia, formerly of Park Slope, Brooklyn, and Breezy Point, Queens, passed away Sunday, August 8, 2010. Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by Richard J. Carter, her beloved husband of 62 years. She was the loving mother of Richard J. Carter, Jr., William J. Carter, and Catherine Carter O'Neill, and the devoted, cherished grandmother of Alexandra B. Carter, Richard J. Carter III, John A. Carter, Caela E. Carter, Daniel H. Carter, Bridget T. O'Neill and Daniel J. O'Neill III. "Grams" was the hearth the family gathered around for a bottomless supply of warmth and love. The family will receive friends from 3-5pm and 7-9pm on Friday, August 13th at Joseph G. Duffy Funeral Home, 255 9th Street, Brooklyn. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am on Saturday, August 14th at St. Saviour Church, 611 8th Avenue, Brooklyn. Interment will be immediately following at St. John's Cemetery, Middle Village. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Endowment Fund of Our Lady of Hope, 13700 N.
