SYLVIA D. CARTER1916-2007Sylvia D. Carter, 90, of Cantonment, FL passed from this life on Thursday, March 8, 2007.She was preceded in death by: her parents, Sam and Edith Saks, son, Richard D. Browne, sister, Annette Simon, and brothers, Robert and David.Survivors include: her loving husband, Claude; son, George; daughter, Jennifer; eight grandchildren, Jeremy, Michelle, Peter, Jason, George II, Richard, Kristen, and Annette, six great-grandchildren and very special family members, Norman Carter, Betty Woodward, Alice Jeffers and Lou, Robert, Stanton Simon and Sara Kelley.Sylvia was an avid gardener and homemaker. She had many friends she corresponded with all over the world as members of her stamp collecting club. She was revered by everyone that knew her. The family wishes to pay special thanks to Covenant Hospice of Milton for their thoughtful and caring presence.The family will have a memorial service Sunday, March 11, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. at the family home 3326 Hornsby Drive, Cantonment, FL In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made in Sylvia's name to Covenant Hospice, 5907 Berryhill Road, Milton, FL 32570.
