MOORE, Suzanne Mary Cizek 49, died peacefully at home in Tampa on May 17, 2009, from MNGIE, a mitochondrial disease. Diagnosed at 15, Suzanne lived with zest and moxie of someone given 100 years. She advocated for her health care, researched and pursued her options. Graduating from Carrollton, a girls' school in Coconut Grove, in l978, she attended the University of South Florida and then made Tampa her home. Her charm and wit attracted many friends. She loved a good party. She was a published writer and an artist. Her husband, Rick Moore, wrote these wedding vows. "I am honored and humbled that you have chosen me to spend the rest of your life with, and for giving me the rest of my life to say thank you and I love you." In addition to her husband, she was privileged to love and be loved by her mother, Evelyn C. Evans of Greenville, SC; father, Les Cizek (Norma Watkins), Fort Bragg, CA; siblings, Starr Sariego, Miami, Jennifer Lunsford, Whitefish Bay, WI, and Robert "Jovan" Cizek, Atlanta; and by four adoring nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by sister, Erika Cizek Dann of Raleigh, NC. A memorial service will be 4 pm, Sunday, May 24, 2009 at Tampa Unity Church, 3302 W. Horatio St., Tampa, FL, 33609, 813-870-0731. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation (UMDF) or LifePath Hospice.
