Obituary of Susan-Wages Johnson


Susan Wages Johnson, age 48, of Cocoa, Fla., died Saturday, Aug. 31, 2002, at Holmes Regional Medical Center. Susan was born in Augusta, Ga. and moved to Cocoa in 1957 from New Ellenton. She was the President of Space Coast General Contractors, Inc., and a member of Northwest Baptist Church. Susan was preceded in death by her father, Herman Wages Jr. Susan is survived by her mother, Mildred Long Wages of Merritt Island, Fla.; sisters, Virginia Wages-Plotkin of New York and Helen Wages Duggan of Merritt Island, Fla.; nieces, Erica Carolyn Plotkin and Susan Nicole Duggan; nephew, Robert Samuel Duggan; and Susan's friend and business partner, Wayne Wesley Clark, and his children, Tim and Karie Clark. Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 6 at 11 a.m. at The Mackey Mortuary, Century Drive, with the Rev. Louis Hart officiating. Interment will be in the Hick's Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 until 8:30 p.m. at the mortuary. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Northwest Baptist Church Building Fund in memory of Susan: Northwest Baptist Church, 1720 Cox Road, Cocoa, FL 32926, attention Pastor Johnnie Gilbert. The family is at the home of Joanne and Steve Freeman, 18 Farrell Kirk Lane, Greenville.
