Susan Thomas Johnson, 77, Bradenton and formerly of Sarasota, died Jan. 23, 2007. She was born June 14, 1929, in Cleveland and came to the area in 1986. She owned Whits End Antiques and Home Decor in Sarasota. She was a member of Selby Gardens Club and was a Protestant. Survivors include daughters Virginia H. of Bradenton and Kathryn Ritsema of Osprey; a son, Arthur Howe IV of Philadelphia; brothers Richard H. Thomas of Harwich, Mass., and Merthyn Thomas Jr. of Venice; and three grandchildren. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary Magdalene Episcopal Church in Bradenton. The Good Earth Crematory in Bradenton handled arrangements.
