SLADE, Susan Margaret Departed this world peacefully at home in Manotick on Thursday, April 20, 2006, at the age of 60. Sue the beloved wife of her husband Charles and the loving mother of Chuck, Lucy, Polly, Thomas and Saxon. Grandmother of her much loved grandchildren Quinn and Adrian. Sue, the only daughter of Margaret and Henry St. John, was born in England and met her husband while working in Malawi where they married in 1969. The family moved to Canada in 1981. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Ottawa Cancer Centre, the VON nurses, the Palliative Care Outreach Program, and her many friends who treated and supported her during her two year struggle with breast cancer. Friends are invited to join the family for a Mass of Christian Funeral to be held at St. Leonard's Church, 5332 Long Island Road, Manotick on Monday, April 24, at 11:00 am.
