Susan Johnson, a long time Haverstraw Resident, died October 2, 2006. She was 96 years old. Mrs. Johnson was a stay at home Mom. She was born April 13, 1910 in Haverstraw to Charles and Ida Hunt Malloy. Susan graduated from the old Haverstraw High School in the 1920's. The majority of her life she lived in Haverstraw while also residing in Pauling in Dutchess County and in Dumont with her brother and sister in law. Susan was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church of Garnerville. Mrs. Johnson will always be remembered for her love of her family and especially of her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren and for her love of God which has kept her 96 years. She is survived by two daughters, Susan of Stony Point and Edna of West Haverstraw, grandchildren Edwin, his wife Susie of Missouri and their two sons Michael and Andrew. A grandson Michael, his wife Donna and their two daughters Michelle and Christina and Michelle's son Jayden, her great grandson. A grand daughter Deborah and her husband Thomas and their two children Meaghan and Christopher and a a granddaughter Kristine and her husband Michael and their two children Nicole and Michael. Also by a niece, Dorothy Laiso of Florida. Mrs. Johnson was predeceased by her husband John Johnson in 1986, her brothers Charles in 1973 and James in 1978. A sister, Dorothy at the age of 20 years old, and her father Charles in 1955 and her mother when she was 10 years old. Visiting hours will be Thursday October 5, 2006 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the A.W. Dutcher's Sons Funeral Home in Haverstraw with a funeral service to be held at 8 PM. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Episcopal Church and to Hospice of Rockland. A.W.
