OBITUARY SUSAN JOHNSON Surrounded by the love of her family, Susan (Susie, Susie Q, SLJ) died peacefully August 19, 2009, at the age of fifty-two, loving and devoted partner of Dave Walker, treasured mother of Curtis and Kristin, dear sister of Wendy Robert (Yvon), Linda Farr and David Johnson (Sharon). Susan was aunt to Brigitte, Chantal, David, Kimberley, Jonathan, Samantha and Brendon. Susan will also be missed by her faithful companion Paddy (her dog). In addition, her many close friends in Ireland, Sadie & Oscar, Bobby & Martha, Jim & Stephanie, Marie & Achie, Margaret, Hazel, Carol & Hughie; in England, Danny, Louise & Sheila; Marion & Steffen, Monica & Ralf in Germany; Elizabeth in New York, Linda in Vancouver and the many friends at Kelly's bar. Susan will be greeted by the Lord and by her parents Millicent and Joseph Johnson. The celebration of Susan's life will be held on Friday, August 21 at the Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources Blvd. in DDO, from 2 to 5 and again from 7 to 9 p.m. Church service will be Saturday, August 22 at 1:30 p.m. at Ste. Genevieve United Church, 4697 St. John's Boulevard in DDO. Interment to follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, 701 Donegani in Pointe-Claire. Susan's passion for life included travel, cooking, Newfoundland!!, needle-point, photography, Jump for Hope, Dragon Boat racing, shopping!!, gardening and meeting and dancing with her friends at Kelly's. The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to the wonderful and dedicated staff at West Island Palliative Care Residence who helped make Susan's last days with her family and friends peaceful and comfortable.
