Finn, SusanSusan Finn, age 66, of Shelton, entered into rest on Friday, July 5, 2013, peacefully in her home with her family by her side. She is the devoted wife of 42 years to John "Jack" Finn, 1st Ward Alderman of Shelton. Susan was born in Bridgeport on November 20, 1946, daughter of the late Earl and Alice Jennings, and she lived most of her life in Shelton.She was a retired school teacher who taught in Shelton for many years. Susan started teaching kindergarten at Elizabeth Shelton, where she spent 18 years, before moving to Mohegan School where she taught 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th grade over 24 years. She was a lifetime member of the Shelton High School Father's Club, was a member of the Shelton Democratic Town Committee , the Shelton Education Association (SEA) and the CT Education Association (CEA), and a longtime parishioner of St. Joseph's Church. She loved reading, watching movies, and enjoyed NCIS on television.She is the beloved mother of John J. Finn and Colleen Finn. She also leaves her mother-in-law Harriet Finn, a brother-in-law George Finn, and sister and brother-in-law Harriet and Jim Calkins, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Brad Jennings and her father-in-law, George Finn.The family would like to thank Oncology Associates of Bridgeport, all the doctors, nurses, and staff, and Marin Pozucek for their support over the last four years.Friends may greet the family at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, on Sunday from 2 to 6 pm. On Monday her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 8:30AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9AM at St. Joseph Church, Shelton. Burial will follow at Mt.
