Peters, 61, of Sarasota, formerly of Washington, D.C., died Aug. 3, 2009.Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Metropolitan Community Church, 7725 Lockwood Ridge Road. Arrangements are by Jennings Funeral Home and Crematory. Survivors include numerous family members in Virginia and a wide circle of friends in Sarasota.Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Robert D. and Louise Peters. She was a licensed mental health counselor and sat on many boards, including ALSO; she was a member of the Sarasota Business Guild.
