-> Columbia, SC - Sue Brown Davis, died December 24, 2005. She was born in Athens, Georgia and lived in Savannah over 50 years. Mrs. Davis was an active member of Wesley Monumental United Methodist Church where she served as Church Historian and Director of Children Education. She was an accomplished artist of acrylics and porcelain. She taught art locally and was one of the original owners of the Village Craftsman Art Gallery on River Street. She was past president of the United Methodist Women, past president of the Georgia Porcelain Arts Society, member of the Savannah Exchangettes and a charter member of chapters L & AT of the P.E.O. Sisterhood. Her husband, Blair Wilson Davis and son, Jefferson Brown Davis preceded her in death. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan Davis Bowers and Karl Bowers of Columbia, SC; Beverly W. Davis and Sonny Timmerman of Midway, GA; sister, Evelyn Swain of Athens, GA; grandchildren, Butch Bowers of Columbia, SC; Tim Bowers of Charleston, SC; Neal Bowers of Myrtle Beach, SC; Jeff Davis of Seattle, WA; Blair Youmans of Atlanta, GA; Mike Youmans of Tallahassee, FL; Ross Davis of Signal Mountain, TN; eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. Funeral: 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at Wesley Monumental United Methodist Church with Reverend Lowery Brantley and Reverend Jason Shirah officiating.
